Smoke-Free Hospital

Bryn Mawr Hospital is a smoke-free hospital. While smoking in a private room may seem like a patient's right, the right to freedom from involuntary secondhand smoke, we believe, must take precedence. Smoking in the hospital also contradicts our basic mission of regaining and maintaining health.

Visitors and patients may smoke only in designated areas outside of the hospital building. Hospital policy requires a physician's order permitting a patient to smoke.
