Romaine Samworth (Malvern, Pennsylvania)
has been blind since the age of eight as
a result of an adverse reaction to a
small pox vaccination. While it is
difficult to handle because of her
blindness, she uses colored paper to
create her work with a special tool that
helps her identify the hue. She works in
paper mache because it is adaptable. She
exhibits with the National Exhibits by
Blind Artists and independently in
shows in San Francisco and Japan.
