Anita Dallar (Crystal River, Florida) sufferes
from post traumatic stress disorder and the
effects of a brain injury. She turned to art
during the healing process and took art courses
and seminars across the country. Her disability
is an active component in her work because she
believes creativity helps interpret life's
events. Her art is an extension of the cognitive
process she believes people experience on a
personal and private level. In addition to
creating work, she teaches art and designs
creative art education materials for the K-12
level. Her work is exhibited around the country.
