Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) is also called
physiatry—a medical specialty that deals with the evaluation and
treatment of patients with a disease, disorder, or injury that impairs

rehabilitation is called a physiatrist. Physiatrists provide
non-surgical medical services to treat various conditions, including
musculoskeletal and neurological (nervous system) disorders, including

Pain Management
Pain Management Specialist are physicians providing non-surgical and
outpatient solutions for acute and chronic pain, including epidural

Interventional Radiology
Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty are non-surgical treatments for the pain
of spine fractures caused by osteoporosis. There have been few effective
treatments for spinal fractures available until recently. Now, two safe,
non-surgical, interventional radiology procedures called vertebroplasty
and kyphoplasty offer hope for those suffering from the pain of
