Cardiac arrhythmia is an extremely common problem in clinical practice and the field of cardiac arrhythmia management has evolved rapidly over the last several years. Unfortunately there is a fairly large gap between the state-of-the-art of arrhythmology in academic and tertiary care centers and what is actually practiced at the community hospital level. The purpose of this program is to provide highly clinically relevant information to practicing physicians regarding the day-to-day management of patients with the most common forms of cardiac arrhythmia. There will be ample opportunity to interact with faculty who are not only experts in their field but who also participate in the routine management of patients with all forms of cardiac arrhythmia. We have selected several methods of interaction including an audience response system and workshops during which time participants will have ample opportunity to discuss topics and cases with the faculty. Our goal is to help physicians care for patients who have complex and simple cardiac rhythm abnormalities, and to better understand how these patients are managed before and after referral to a tertiary care center.
