Main Line Health at Shannondell offers primary care doctors who are experts in treating older adults, as well as a comprehensive array of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Our experienced team of providers is led by Medical Director David Galinsky, M.D., a specialist in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Galinsky has been recognized numerous times as a "Top Doc" for geriatric medicine by Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today, and has received the Award of Honor from the Philadelphia Geriatric Center. Dr. Galinsky has been in clinical practice since 1976.

A Philadelphia native, Dr. Galinsky earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and conducted his internship at the State University in New York. After serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He was a staff physician at the Philadelphia Geriatric Center for nine years before beginning his private practice.

Also on our team is Raffi Megerian, M.D. Dr. Megerian is board-certified in Internal and Geriatric Medicine and specializes in Alzheimer's Disease, Cardiovascular Disease, Osteoporosis, Arthritis and Osteoarthritis. Drs. Megerian and Galinsky provide a patient-centered approach to healthcare and stress the importance of preventative medicine, early diagnosis, and the psychological and spiritual well-being of their patients.

Patients at the Main Line Health at Shannondell also have access to a range of specialist physicians, including Orthopedists, Ophthalmologists, Gynecologists, Travel Medicine experts, Dentists, Podiatrists, Audiologists and Cardiologists at the Main Line Health Center location in Collegeville, only minutes away. Transportation to the Collegeville site is provided free of charge to Shannondell at Valley Forge residents.
