Dear Friend,
Welcome to Riddle Hospital’s Web site. We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit and learn more about our facility. We are located in Media, PA, in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, and we are committed to providing patients with progressive medical services with compassionate care. We have been voted "Best Hospital in Delaware County" by the readers of the Delaware County Daily Times for five years in a row! It is an honor for us to achieve this distinction and we would like to thank you, our patients and readers of the Daily Times, for choosing Riddle for your medical care.
I am also happy to share more exciting news with you. Riddle recently joined forces with Main Line Health (MLH), one of the most successful and prestigious health systems in Pennsylvania. Both Riddle and MLH are non-profit organizations committed to serving our local communities. We have joined a system that shares our values and our culture of excellence.
Riddle’s vision—"To be the best place to receive care. To be the best place to give care."—motivates us to invest in the latest technology and services to keep Riddle on the leading edge of patient care. Our most recent advances include angioplasty (advanced cardiology services), lithotripsy (a procedure for treating kidney stones), retinal surgery and dialysis, plus a state-of-the art electronic clinical information system.
Our orthopaedic staff at Riddle has been providing exceptional service to the community for the past 40 years and we are now pleased to offer services from the prestigious Rothman Institute of Orthopaedics right here at Riddle. Our Radiology services offer High-field 1.5 Tesla machines in two convenient locations, at the Riddle Campus and in Concordville. The Cancer Center at Riddle offers the same chemotherapy that one would receive in a center-city cancer center. Also, The Jefferson Radiation Oncology Center at Riddle, owned and operated by Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, has a facility right on our campus and now offers IMRT, the latest, most efficient radiation technology available. Our Emergency Department, which receives over 30,000 visits annually, includes a Fast Track, where patients who have minor injuries are treated in a shorter amount of time. At Riddle, we also take pride in the many community health education programs that we offer to the members of our community at little or no cost.
Thank you for visiting with us. Please explore our Web site—I think you will like what you see.
Sincerely,
Gary L. Perecko,
President, Riddle Hospital
