“Lankenau is a very progressive hospital. The leadership is very good at anticipating the changes that are coming in healthcare and adjusting to those changes now. There are things happening here that don’t happen at most hospitals. For example, social workers and nurse managers go on rounds. This ensures that everyone is communicating with each other about the overall plan for the patient.
The ancillary staff at Lankenau is also incredible. They are very supportive and they do so much for the residents. I did my internship at a university hospital and I definitely didn’t have the same experience there.
Lankenau offers a very intimate learning environment. You get to know all of the subspecialists and they know you. The program is also very accommodating for residents who have families and children. Overall, it’s just a very comfortable environment, which can be a rarity in residency programs.”
