Senior Community Centers

Mid County Senior Services operates two Senior Community Centers in Delaware County: the Havertown Center in Havertown, Pa., and the Hometown Center in Media, Pa. These facilities foster and encourage independent, healthy and active living, resulting in positive physical and emotional wellness for independent older adults in the community.

Mid County's Senior Centers are community drop-in facilities that offer a variety of services, programs and activities, promote access to supportive services and provide opportunities for members to make meaningful contributions in the community. Activities and programs at the centers include: classes, trips, dancing, health screenings, volunteer opportunities, exercise, educational programs, nutritious meals, and community service projects. Older adults come to the centers to be among friends, share in activities, and many times even discover hidden talents.
