An advanced non-ACGME fellowship program is available for qualified
surgeons seeking to become specialty-trained in adult cardiac surgery.
This opportunity is a one year commitment. The goal of our Adult
Advanced Cardiac Surgery Fellowship Program is designed for candidates
who have completed a residency in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery,
who are interested in developing their technical skills with complex
cardiac surgery procedures. This advanced Cardiac Surgery Fellowship
Program is designed to enhance current skills and will not duplicate,
but rather will expand the experience gained as a cardiac trainee during
their two-year approved residency program.
Applicants must be must be board-certified or board-eligible. Candidates
must have completed an American Board of Thoracic Surgery approved
training program in cardiothoracic surgery, and should be eligible for,
a medical license by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
