Thrift Shop

The Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop is located directly across the street from the Hospital at 804 County Line Road in Bryn Mawr, Pa. The Thrift Shop offers clothing, furniture and bric-a-brac. Proceeds benefit programs and services for Bryn Mawr Hospital patients.

Donating the Contents of Your Home or Estate

From a house full of estate contents to those pieces that just won’t fit into your new home after a move, the Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop will gratefully accept your donation.

In some cases, our volunteers and employees will come to your home to remove estate or house contents.

In return for your generous donation, we offer:

• Tax deduction to the fullest extent allowed by law
• Removal of entire contents of a home
• Peace of mind for yourself and your family, knowing that your home and possessions are in the hands of trustworthy employees and volunteers from your community hospital
• The satisfaction of knowing that your donation makes a difference for your hospital and the people in our community

Consigning Goods

Consignments are accepted by appointment only. 

Hours

Furniture and bric-a-brac	Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to noon
Clothing	Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to noon

To schedule an appointment for consignment, call 610-527-3286 between 9:30 a.m. and noon on the above noted days.

Terms

• There is a $15 per-year fee to consign. This fee entitles you to consign furniture, bric-a-brac and clothing for a full year.
• The thrift shop receives 50% commission on all clothing items and 40% on furniture and bric-a-brac items priced under $250.00.  The thrift shop receives 35% on any items priced $250.00 and over. 
• Furniture is limited to three (3) pieces per consignor per appointment.
• A maximum of 20 items may be consigned per appointment.
• No items under $6.00 may be consigned.
• All clothing must be clean, pressed, current style, in season, in good condition, and on hangers.
• All draperies and cloth must be measured.
• All checks will be mailed within two weeks of the claim date of your consignment contract.
• The Shop reserves the right to limit articles due to space allowances or to revoke consigning privileges.
• The Shop reserves the right to reject any articles that are not up to shop standards.
• The Shop assumes no responsibility for loss due to fire, theft or damage.
• Due to heavy volume of phone calls, please limit phone calls to one per consignment period.

Reclaiming: Consigners are responsible for locating all items to be reclaimed. All claims must be picked up on or before claim date. Please, no claiming on Saturdays. Items unclaimed by end of fourth week become the property of the Shop. Any item under $6.00 is not reclaimable. No search will be made for articles under $15.
