At Lawrence Park Adult Day Services in Broomall, PA, we believe in providing quality and professional care for adults, age 18 and over, with functional and physical impairments. We offer meaningful and structured activities that keep our participants engaged, active and looking forward to coming each day. Over the years, we have enriched the lives of many adults and their families and work to support families that want to stay together longer.

Our Center, located in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center in Broomall, PA is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The early morning and evening hours makes this an ideal option for working families.

Special Features

At our Center we have three groups. Our first group is for adults with physical impairments and it is a very energetic group and our participants really enjoy interacting with each other. They make new friends and sometimes even exchange home phone numbers! When leading activities with this group, staff must be quick witted and ready to have fun. Every day starts with lively exercises followed by opportunities to learn new things including art history, geography and poetry. A must-do is playing games and our members are quick and competitive.

Our second group is for adults with early to moderate dementia. Each day starts with exercise with a facilitator and then proceeds into reminiscing activities, games and trivia. These activities are designed to get the best responses from our participants. Members of this group have a wonderful time talking about the war years, their weddings, family homes, and their childhood. This all makes for interesting and dynamic discussion.

Our third group is for our frail elderly and adults with advanced dementia. Members of this group sopend the day engaged in storytelling, simple games, ball playing and watching interesting and engaging videos. Our participants love to listen to music and sing—especially the Oldies! We have an old fashioned radio, CDs and a piano.

A visit to our Center will convince you of what an energetic and vivacious environment we have. Walking around, you can see all of the art projects our members have made—even watercolors!

The Lawrence Park Adult Day Services is located in the Main Line Health Building. Our participants have access to physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dental and medical offices, podiatrist and gym. If caregivers schedule appointments for their loved ones within the building, our staff will escort them to the apointment and make sure they arrive back at our Center. We also have a hairdresser who comes to the Center every week. She will do hair for both men and women and no advanced appointments are necessary.

Our professionally trained Family Services Coordinator will assist families with the enrollment process, transportation and funding.

Directions

Lawrence Park Adult Day Services is conveniently located in the Main Line Health Building in the Lawrence Park Shopping Center, Broomall. The Center has easy access to Route 476 (Blue Route), West Chester Pike and Route 320.

From the North

Head East on West Chester Pike (Route 3). Turn right onto Route 320 and continue on Route 320 as it turns left and becomes Sproul Road. Turn Left into the Lawrence Park Shopping Center.

From the South

Head North on Sproul Road or Springfield Road. Continue pass St. Peter - St. Paul Cemetary on the left. Turn right into the Lawrence Park Shopping Center.

From the East

Head West on West Chester Pike (Route 3). Turn left onto Lawrence Road. Turn Left onto Sproul Road and turn left into the Lawrence Park Shopping Center.
