Beverly
M. Vaughn, MD, a specialist in gynecology with more than 20 years
of experience, is a member of the medical staff at Lankenau Medical
Center, a member of the Main Line Health System. Dr. Vaughn earned her
medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1978 and
completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at
Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She also served as an Associate
General Surgeon in the U.S. Public Health Service from 1978 to 1982 at
Covenant House in Philadelphia.
Dr. Vaughn is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and
Gynecology. As medical coordinator of the Main Line Health Menopause
and You Program, she is interested in health issues
related to perimenopause and menopause. Her other interests include
general gynecology for women of all ages, fibroids and sexual health.
Dr. Vaughn was named among the "Top Doctors" by U.S. News and World
Report in 2011. In addition, she was named one of the “Top Docs of 2002”
in Philadelphia magazine in May 2002, and “Top Docs for Women” in
Philadelphia magazine in May 2000. Essence magazine named her a
“Recommended Ob/Gyn in Pennsylvania” in 2001. She received an Excellence
in Teaching award from medical students at Thomas Jefferson University
Hospital in 2000, and a Resident Teaching award at Pennsylvania Hospital
from 1997 to 1999.
Dr. Vaughn is currently a clinical assistant professor of Ob/Gyn at
Jefferson Medical College and a Fellow of the American College of
Obstetrics and Gynecology.
