Measurement Tool Proves Program Effectiveness
CNB offers an evidence-based evaluation tool that measures the program's
impact and effectiveness in changing audience attitudes about safe
driving habits.
A brief, anonymous questionnaire is administered to students before
teach CNB presentation and immediately after. Questions are modeled
after surveys standardized by the National Highway Traffic Safety
Association.
Our student survey is offered to schools so that administrators can take
a closer look at student use of substances, including frequency,
attitudes about impaired or distracted driving or driving under the
influence, use of seat belts, parental communication, perceived
resources and comprehension of why they should not drink and drive or
drive while distracted by cellphones, music or people in their vehicle.
A report is provided to school administrators, along with a report
that compiles the results of surveys from all schools participating with
CNB during the academic year. The final report evaluates the impact of
CNB and it provides useful statistics to help teachers, administrators
and school nurses better understand their students' use of controlled
substances and driving tendencies, including driving while distracted.
The survey results can be used for applications to funding sources,
school board meetings, PTO meetings or special interest groups for
programming purposes.
