Auxiliaries

Founded in 1957, the Associated Auxiliaries began raising funds long before Riddle Memorial Hospital opened its doors in 1963. Their work in support of the hospital has been invaluable and totals over $10 million. Examples of their generosity include ambulances, telemetry equipment, the Outpatient Pavilion, the Cancer Center, the Main Lobby and the new 4th floor Medical Unit.

At Riddle, our vision is "Be the best place to receive care. Be the best place to give care." We hope you will consider sharing our vision and helping your community by becoming a donor or volunteer. Whether it be dollars or hours, each gift will strengthen our hospital and help us to carry out our mission of providing quality healthcare to the residents of Delaware & Chester counties and the many communities we serve.

The Associated Auxiliaries established a tradition of supporting the hospital long before our doors even opened. Throughout the years, their generosity of time and talent has raised millions of dollars. We are most grateful for their continued support as well as all of the wonderful volunteers and donors who have given so much to help serve others.

Join the Auxiliaries

Becoming a member of the Associated Auxiliaries provides you with the opportunity to work on one or more of the many fundraising events that benefit the hospital. Use your current skills or develop new ones as you assist with the Auxiliaries' many important events and services.

Riddle Thrift Shop—Selling consignment and donated clothing, furniture and home décor. Phone: 610-627-4074. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily & 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Major Treat Snack Shop—An informal eatery located off of the Hospital’s Main Lobby
Merry Token Gift Shop—Located in the Main Lobby of the hospital, the gift shop offers many unique gift ideas in addition to balloons, cards, candy and magazines

Tree of Lights—Honor or memorialize friends, family, and loved ones on the hospital's Christmas tree in the Outpatient Pavilion. December 7, 2009, 11 am.
Sales and Raffles—Opportunities for baskets of cheer, jewelry, baked goods and other delights.

Won’t you consider joining the hundreds of other Auxiliary members and derive satisfaction from knowing that your contributions of time and talent are helping to provide needed equipment to many hospital departments, updating hospital facilities and ensuring the continuation of necessary services to our patients and community. In your volunteer role, you will have the chance to interact with the community, make new friends and have fun.
