Family and Friends

Family members know firsthand the devastation of addiction. When a loved one is dependent on alcohol and/or drugs, every aspect of family life is disrupted and the stress can be almost unbearable. Trust is lost, relationships strained and feelings of helplessness creep in. It’s hard to know what to do.

Mirmont’s Family and Friends Program helps those most affected by the addicted person’s behavior begin to heal. The program focuses on educating and helping family members enter their own recovery process. Components of the Family and Friends Program include:

• Lectures
• Films
• Discussion groups
• Mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques
• Q & A sessions
