Certified Chest Pain Center

Lankenau's certified Chest Pain Center offers the expertise and protocols to help ensure you’re diagnosed accurately and treated promptly. We’re specially trained to respond rapidly to signs of heart attack. On your way to our ER, the EMS team can transmit your EKG to us so we can being evaluating your condition before you even get here. If an intervention like angioplasty is indicated, the treatment team can be ready within minutes of your arrival. And if additional treatment is required, Lankenau offers the region’s most advanced heart program with an array of leading-edge cardiac treatment options.

Certified Primary Stroke Center

Our Emergency Department is certified by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. Evidence-based protocols are followed which can significantly improve outcomes. Brain imaging scans are immediately available. And a neurologist is available to conduct evaluations and use clot-busting medications when appropriate.

Women's Emergency Heart Care

Women have different heart attack symptoms than men. But thanks to our Women’s Heart Initiative, the ER teams at all our hospitals are trained to recognize them. That’s something every woman can feel good about.
