General Guidelines
Please ask your visitors to adhere to our visiting hours and to observe the following rules. Visitors should:
- Refrain from loud conversation
- Leave the room quietly when asked
- Restrict the number of visitors in the patient's room to no more than two at a time
- Keep visits to about 15 minutes
- Refrain from sitting on empty patient beds
- Closely supervise children under 12 at all times
- Refrain from visiting if they have a cold, flu-like symptoms or any other communicable disease, no matter how mild their symptoms may seem
Medical/Surgical Units
Visiting hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Children under 12 may visit with the permission of your physician and nurse on Sundays for one-half hour between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. If this is not possible, ask your nurse if special arrangements can be made.
Family-Centered Maternity Unit (Second Floor)
Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day on this unit at the patient's discretion. There are also no age restrictions for visitors, except at the patient's discretion. Please note that children and adults who have not had the chicken pox are requested not to visit the unit. Exposure to chicken pox is a dangerous condition in a baby's first seven days of life.
Intensive Care and Coronary Care Units
Visiting hours for these units are from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
