The Cancer Center of Paoli Hospital's commitment to personalized cancer
care encompasses the entire family, addressing each patient's unique
needs and supporting the patient and his or her family through the
diagnosis, treatment and recovery periods. We work closely with
community resources, such as the American Cancer Society, and utilize
all available educational and informational resources to meet the
special needs of our patients and their loved ones.

Home Care
Services
Home care referrals are made by the treatment team on an individualized
basis for patients who require specialized medical needs in the home.
Services are available through our Home
Care Network.
Hospice
and Bereavement Services
Specialized services for end-of-life care are offered through our Home
Care Network.
Nutrition
Services
Registered dietitians offer individualized counseling on an outpatient
basis. A plan is developed to meet the special nutritional needs of the
oncology patient.
Referral
Coordinator
An on-staff coordinator assists patients and their families through the
referral process if a second opinion or treatment is needed at the Fox
Chase Cancer Center.
Rehabilitation
Services
Physical therapy services are available for patients who may be
physically deconditioned from either surgery or treatment. Physical
therapy builds strength and endurance and helps with mobility issues.
Social
Workers
Paoli Hospital's licensed oncology social worker helps patients and
families adjust to the many challenges involved with a cancer diagnosis.
Counseling is available to help with community resource referrals,
coping with illness, family and relationship concerns and financial or
insurance needs. Group and individual counseling is available.
Support
Groups
In addition, Paoli Hospital also offers several special programs and
support groups.

Together
We Can: Guiding You and Your Family Through Cancer
After a new diagnosis of cancer, one of the many worries
is how the illness will affect your family. For parents,
there is the extra concern about how to tell the
children and shield them from worry. Our center offers a
program for parents and school-age children called
Together We Can. This program uses communication, art,
games and music to help children understand their
feelings and fears. This program meets on various Sunday
afternoons throughout the year. Call 866. CALL. MLH for

Main Line Man-to-Man" Prostate Cancer Group
The Paoli group meets every other month at 7:00
p.m at the Main Line Health Center in Newtown Square.

This six-week group is offered in the spring and fall to
any woman diagnosed with breast cancer during the past
year. Group sessions focus on coping with the changes
that a breast cancer diagnosis can bring. For more

individuals living with recurrent or later stage cancers
who are interested in meeting others to discuss
challenges of living with this chronic disease. Held the

Personalized Fittings
Free wigs are available to women who are experiencing hair loss due to
