family history of cancer, particularly if the cancers are diagnosed at
young ages or in several relatives, can be an indicator of an inherited
risk.
The Paoli Cancer Risk Assessment Program is designed to provide individualized cancer risk assessment services to individuals and families at increased risk of cancer due to family or personal history. These services include:
Evaluation at the Paoli Cancer Risk Assessment Program is available to any person concerned about cancer risk. Individuals meet with a genetic counselor specialized in cancer genetics and a registered nurse focused on cancer prevention, when indicated. A medical oncologist and outpatient oncology social worker are also part of the team.
