General Hours and Guidelines
Main Hospital Visiting Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Please ask your visitors to adhere to our visiting hours and to observe
the following rules. Visitors should:

Refrain from loud conversation

Leave the room quietly when asked

Restrict the number of visitors in the patient's room to no more
than two at a time

Closely supervise children under 14 at all times

Refrain from visiting if they have a cold, flu-like symptoms or
any other communicable disease, no matter how mild those
symptoms may seem
Green
Room (Family Waiting Area)
Located near the Operating Suite, the Green Room at Bryn Mawr Hospital
is a place for families to wait while patients are in the Operating
Suite. After surgery, the surgeons often meet the family in the Green
Room to advise them of the status of their family member. Coffee and tea
are available for waiting families. A volunteer also is available from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to help keep family
members informed.
Lounges
Available on each patient floor, our lounges offer a quiet place to read
or to visit.
Special Hours and Guidelines
Intensive Care Unit
Visiting Hours: 11:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Visitors are limited to the patient's immediate family, two visitors for
short intervals. Flowers and cards may not be placed at the patient's
bedside.
Coronary Care Unit
Visiting Hours: 11:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Visitors are limited to two persons at a time for short intervals. To
assure that patients receive adequate rest and care, visitors may be
restricted at various times throughout the day.
Maternity Unit
Visiting Hours: 11:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
During labor, visitors may be restricted to a defined number of support
people. The father of the baby or significant other may visit 24 hours a
day.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Visiting Hours: 11:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Parents have unlimited visiting privileges 24 hours a day. Two others
per family may visit, accompanied by parent. Grandparents, with parents'
consent, may visit without a parent. Siblings 3 years or younger, are
limited to 15 minutes; only one sibling may be at the bedside at a time.
Pediatric Department
Visiting Hours: 11:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Parents have unlimited visiting privileges 24 hours a day.
Psychiatric Unit
Visiting Hours:
Mon-Friday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sat-Sun 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Holidays: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Visitors must remain in the living and dining room area.
