We're Prepared
Pediatric Emergency Room
If your child has a medical emergency, there's no better place to go
than Bryn Mawr Hospital. We have the only pediatric ER in the area, a
child-friendly place that understands the differences between kids and
adults. Our team is specially trained in pediatric emergency medicine,
and a pediatric emergency physician is always on call.
Certified Primary Stroke Center
Our Emergency Department is certified by the Joint Commission as a
Primary Stroke Center. Evidence-based protocols are followed which can
significantly improve outcomes. Brain imaging scans are immediately
available. And a neurologist is available to conduct evaluations and use
clot-busting medications when appropriate.
Women's Emergency Heart Care
Women have different heart attack symptoms than men. But thanks to our
Women’s Heart Initiative, the ER teams at all our hospitals are trained
to recognize them. That’s something every woman can feel good about.
