The Bryn Mawr Hospital Perinatal Testing Center is committed to giving
every new baby the healthiest possible start. Our family-centered
approach to maternity care includes expert perinatal staff who are
available to help you and your family make good decisions and get the
finest care possible—from conception, all the way through delivery.
When your health status, family history, age or an obstetrical
finding increases your risk in pregnancy, your obstetrician may refer
you to the Bryn Mawr Hospital Perinatal Testing Center for counseling
and testing. The Perinatal Testing Center provides a comprehensive range
of procedures to assess your baby's condition, rule out or confirm
potential medical complications or problems, and help physicians manage
or prevent difficulties.
Under
the direction of a perinatologist (a maternal-fetal medicine
specialist), the Perinatal Testing Center has a dedicated staff of
physician experts, perinatal sonographers and perinatal nurses who team
up with your obstetrician or midwife to provide any perinatal services
you may need during your pregnancy.
The Bryn Mawr Hospital Perinatal Testing Center is accredited by the
American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). Accreditation
validates that nationally accepted standards are met and that consistent
excellence in patient care is demonstrated.
