Kenneth E. Kirby joined Main Line Health as senior vice president for
Development in November, 2004. In this role he oversees the effort to
generate philanthropic support for Main Line Health’s member hospitals.
Kirby brings almost 30 years of development experience to Main Line
Health. Most recently, he served as executive vice president for the
Franklin Institute, where he planned, implemented and directed a number
of major fundraising efforts, including a major capital campaign that
raised more than $60 million. He has experience in strategic planning,
board relations and governance, government affairs, program management
and marketing and public relations. In 2002, he was voted Fund Raising
Executive of the Year by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the
American Association of Fund Raising Professionals.
Kirby is on the board of directors and fundraising committee of the Bryn
Mawr Presbyterian Church Foundation. He is also affiliated with the
Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Association for
Healthcare Philanthropy and serves as a volunteer advisor to numerous
non-profit organizations.
Kirby lives in Havertown, PA.
