Autologous Blood Donation

For individuals wishing to use their own blood for upcoming surgery-related transfusions at Bryn Mawr Hospital, the American Red Cross offers the option of autologous blood donations. The procedure is an option only for elective surgery.

All donors must meet American Red Cross medical criteria. A physician's written prescription is required for autologous donations.
