Cruisin' Not Boozin' is an award-winning program sponsored by Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital that brings children, teenagers and young adults face to face with the potentially devastating consequences of impaired driving. The program's peer-to-peer approach, featuring testimony by survivors who have received life-changing brain and spinal cord injuries, has proven effective in changing young people's attitudes about driving impaired. More than 300,000 elementary through college age students in the Tri-State region have heard these important presentations since the program begain in 1989, and demand for speakers is highest during the spring prom season. The program undersores the hospital's mission to promote wellness and prevent injury.
