Director - Cancer Center - Lankenau Hospital

Main Line Health System's Lankenau Hosptal is seeking to recruit a Director of the Lankenau Hospital Cancer Center.  This physician director will lead the Cancer Center to achieve several goals, including:

Through every phase of cancer care, facilitate the coordinated delivery of all services that support the patient.


Become a top performer on clinical quality outcomes and customer service measures.


Achieve progressively higher levels of cancer program designation from the NCI.


Build an identity that is recognized, respected and valued by the public, patients, clinicians and donors.


Implement strategies to grow volume in each disease site and service; Breast, Colorectal, Genitourinary, Gynecological, Lung and Musculoskeletal cancers, Hematology and Hematological oncology, and Radiation oncology.

The Director will have primary responsibility for the operational performance of the center, recruitment of physicians; management of quality of care standards and guidelines; administer and grow research in the Cancer Center; chair various committees throughout Lankenau Hospital; participate in the implementation of fund raising activities for the center; as well as oversee faculty appointments to the Cancer Center (for NCI Cancer Center stage of development)

We are seeking a physician leader, recognized by the NCI and other major funding organizations, who has experience in a comprehensive Cancer Center and the management of a research community. Familiarity with the latest work on clinical practice guidelines and outcome measures by NCCN, ASCO is also required.  We are seeking a dynamic physician leader who is knowledgeable regarding fund raising tactics for cancer centers and has the ability to work with major donors.
