Physician Site - Email Resources

Most routine communications from the Medical Staff Office are sent in electronic format. Each Main Line Health or affiliated Main Line Health physician has several options for participating in our email distributions. Your choices are described below:

DEFINITIONS:

Global Address List: Each individual in an email roster is listed once in a Master List. Each listing includes the List Name, and the targeted email address. Some email packages such as Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook (which are used by MLH) permit conventional addresses and telephone numbers to be stored with the email listing.

Distribution List: An individual email address may be added to one or more group lists that are created for a specific purpose (Example: The MLH POE Project Team List is a distribution list developed to improve communication among the members of the MLH Physician Order Entry Project team).

Public Distribution List: This is a list which any MLH email user may select from the Global Address List to send messages to.

Personal Distribution: This is a list which an individual creates solely for their personal use which is NOT available to any other person.

Distribution List Owner: This is the person who may make additions, edits, and deletions to a Distribution List. A member of the Medical Affairs staff is assigned this function for Distribution Lists sponsored by the Medical Staff.

ELIGIBILITY:

Individual Listing: Upon request, Main Line Health will add an individual physician's email address to the Global Address List for members of the MLH Medical Staff or any physician who refers patients to MLH (sponsored by a member of the active Medical Staff).

MLH Medical Staff Distribution List: Only members of the Medical Staff in good standing are included on the "MLH Medical Staff" email distribution list.

OPTIONS:

You may SELECT ONE of the following MLH Medical Staff Distribution List Options. (If you do not indicate an option, the top choice will be implemented):

___	I WANT to be on the MLH Medical Staff public distribution list.
___	I WANT to receive only official Medical Staff Communications.
___	I WANT to be listed (as an individual) on the Global Address List only

You may also wish to be listed on one or more of the Campus Lists. Please indicate your selections. (Please note that MLH ANNOUNCEMENTS will only be sent to members of the MLH Medical Staff List - effective immediately).

___	PMH Physicians (Paoli Memorial)
___	REH Physicians (Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital)
___	LH Physicians (Lankenau)

(Note: Some individuals may have more than one email address. Let us know if you wish to change your preferred address on any of our Lists.)
