College of Physicians and Surgeons. She served a residency in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She
was an Instructor in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and on staff at Massachusetts General Hospital prior to relocating
to the Philadelphia area. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Smith is Clinical Assistant

Amy L. Curran, M.D. is the Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. She received her M.D. degree from Temple
University where she was appointed to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine
at the University of Pennsylvania where she won a Penn Pearl teaching award from the Medical students of the University. She
spent a year as Chief Medical Resident at Lankenau Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She is also on the Academic Hospitalist team. Drs. Smith and Curran were awarded a grant by the National Board of Medical

Daniel C. Lazowick, D.O., F.A.C.P. is the Director of Medical Education for Lankenau’s Osteopathic Internship Program. Dr. Lazowick received his osteopathic degree
from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he also served his internship. He then came to Lankenau for his
residency in Internal Medicine. He joined the staff in 1997 and has been actively involved with our teaching program ever
since. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine and is on the Adjunct
Faculty at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Lazowick is boarded by the American Board of Internal Medicine
as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Lankenau's Transitional Care

Jerome Santoro, M.D. is Chairman of the Department of Medicine for Main Line Health and a clinician in Infectious Diseases. Dr. Santoro received
his M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine. He served a residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital
