Main Line Health is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia and consists of four acute-care hospitals (Bryn Mawr, Lankenau, Paoli and Riddle
Memorial) and one acute-rehabilitation hospital, Bryn Mawr Rehab.
The Radiology Residency Program at Bryn Mawr Hospital is a four-year residency program approved by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology. Entry is made through
the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) after appropriate applications are made to the Electronic Residency Application
Service (ERAS) from the Association of American Medical Colleges.
Bryn Mawr Hospital is a teaching hospital with a long tradition of meeting the healthcare needs of our community. The hospital
is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and approved by the Accreditation
Council for Graduate Medical Education and the American Medical Association for post-doctoral training programs. It is part
of the Main Line Health System and a member of the Jefferson Health System.
The program offers state-of-the-art training in a variety of imaging modalities within the community hospital setting. The
diversity of the patient population ensures that the residents experience a wide range of disease entities. Our residents
are given the opportunity to balance hands on experience with didactic teaching. Responsibilities are assigned to the residents
at an early stage in their training and are rapidly turned over to them depending upon their development and acquired skills.
Under close supervision of attending radiologists and senior residents, our residents are appropriately prepared for future
practice as a consulting radiologist.
In addition, residents also rotate through Lankenau Hospital and Paoli Hospital to expand their teaching hospital experience
and immerse themselves in the rich mix of learning material.
