We Could Be The Solution You've Been Looking For!

Many people are unfamiliar with what day services are and if it is appropriate for their loved ones. Complete this checklist to help determine if you and your loved once can benefit from Mid County Senior Services' Adult Day Services.

Are you increasingly worried about the health and safety of your loved one who:

  • Needs regular check-ups and cannot take prescribed medication without supervision?
  • Can no longer be alone at home safely?
  • Requires assistance with personal care, such as eating, bathing or dressing?
  • Is more and more confused or forgetful?
  • Has Alzheimer's disease or memory loss?
  • Is becoming increasingly dependent on your time and energy?

Many of the people who attend Adult Day Services require assistance with the daily living activities listed above and Mid County Senior Services can help. Each center has a trained staff that will care for your loved one with dignity and compassion.

Are you increasingly worried about the isolation or inactivity of a loved one who:

  • Has lost interest in hobbies or trying new things?
  • Does not socialize or stay in touch with friends?
  • Needs something to do with his or her time?
  • Is not eating well, unless you plan or prepare meals?
  • Is often alone and does not get out of the house much?
  • Is losing physical strength, in part due to lack of exercise?

Adult Day Services is not a babysitting service. Participants are engaged in structured and meaningful activities that stimulate them physically, socially and cognitively. Many caregivers report that their loved ones are more active and alert at home because of the activities in which they participate at the centers. Participants make friends and even look forward to coming to the center.

Are you providing care for a loved one? Are you:

  • Allowing your own health suffer?
  • Cutting back on your own interests?
  • Neglecting your other responsibilities, including family, friends or job?

Because of all of the responsibilities that responsibilities that caregivers have caring for their loved ones, many neglect  their families, friends, jobs as well as their own personal interests. Caregivers, whose loved ones attend adult day services, should not feel that they are letting their loved ones down. By taking some time off from caregiving, they can get the much needed and well-deserved rest they need to maintain their own health and strength.

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, Adult Day Services could be a wise decision for you and your older loved one. Contact Adult Day Services TODAY!
