Maternity and Nursery Expansion Campaign

If you were to ask expectant parents what they want from their hospital experience as they anticipate the birth of their child, what would they say? They would look for a team of outstanding physicians, ready to handle any medical situation. They would want a nursing staff that supports them during childbirth, cares for them after their baby is born, assists with breastfeeding needs during and after hospitalization, and helps them understand what their new baby will need once they leave the hospital. They might even imagine a hospital that feels more like home—where family and friends are welcomed and privacy and dignity respected.

At Paoli Hospital, our team of obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other caregivers offer highly skilled, compassionate care, making us the hospital of choice in our area for maternity care. Many obstetricians choose to affiliate with Paoli Hospital because of the depth of our medical staff and experienced maternity and neonatal nursing staff.

Maternity and Nursery Expansion Campaign

Paoli Hospital needs the community to help deliver the future of maternity care by supporting an expansion campaign that will create a new state-of-the-art facility. Our goal for the early phase of the campaign is to raise $4 million.

The hospital engaged architects and planners, who specialize in maternity care expansions, and sought the guidance of obstetricians, neonatologists, and nurses to plan the expanded maternity unit, which will establish an entire floor dedicated to maternity and newborn services – including the addition of more private patient rooms, a larger nursery with more bassinets, an expanded NICU complete, and dedicated Operating Rooms (ORs). Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2012 with anticipated completion of the project by June 2013.

This state-of-the-art facility, combined with the exceptional medical and nursing care and in home-like environment, will maximize Paoli’s position as the “hospital of choice” for new mothers.

Our goal for the early phase of the campaign is to raise $4 million through our Maternity and Nursery expansion campaign, Where Great Care Comes to Life.
