Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services has developed its own regulatory
compliance program that is consistent with the Main Line Health System
(MLHS) Compliance Program but is specifically focused on the compliance
issues relevant to clinical laboratories as described in the Office of
Inspector General’s Compliance Program Guidance for Laboratories.
The Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services Compliance Program adds to
the MLHS Compliance Program such elements as are necessary to ensure
that Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services conducts its activities in
a manner consistent with relevant federal and state laws and regulations
governing the operation of clinical laboratories.
MLHS has appointed a laboratory compliance officer, who is responsible
for overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the Main Line
Hospitals Laboratory Services Compliance Program. The laboratory
compliance officer works with the MLHS Corporate Compliance Office,
appropriate members of Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services
Management, and the Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services Compliance
Committee to develop a Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services
Compliance Work Plan to guide implementation of the Main Line Hospitals
Laboratory Services Compliance Program.
The elements of the Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services Compliance
Program also include the Main Line Hospitals Laboratory Services code of
conduct, employee education and training, monitoring, and investigation
