Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARB)
A type of vasodilator, these drugs widen blood vessels to lower blood
pressure, improve blood flow and decrease the workload on the heart.
Individuals who can’t tolerate ACE inhibitors may be given angiotensin
II receptor blockers.
