The
Gerhard Society is a preeminent philanthropic society on the Main Line
composed of supporters who view Bryn Mawr Hospital as integral to
the health of our community and who are committed to cultivating an
enduring hospital and community partnership.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009, the Gerhard Society has grown
from an initial 140 members to over 450 of Bryn Mawr Hospital's most
dedicated philanthropic partners. Among them are grateful patients,
physicians, staff, volunteers, community members, foundations and
corporations. Their collective support is distributed among the

As special friends of Bryn Mawr Hospital, Gerhard Society
members enjoy a number of benefits in recognition of their
leadership support, Popular with many members is "Merci Beaucoup", the
annual thank-you event held in the fall. The availability of a
Development Officer to act as a personal navigator and liaison to
providers or services is particularly valued, as are opportunities to
connect with friends, institutional leaders and "Top Docs" at special
events on the Hospital campus and in private homes. In short, Gerhard
Society members can look forward to special courtesies and personal
stewardship that demonstrate the Bryn Mawr Hospital
Foundation's commitment to provide a superior donor experience.
Announcing Passport Plus
Donors at the Patron level ($2,500) and above are now eligible for
a new benefit, called Passport Plus, a special
service for Gerhard Society members who would like personal assistance
navigating to Bryn Mawr Hospital or Main Line Health services or
