DESCRIPTION:This three-week class is offered to couples expecting their fir
	st baby\nor couples who have never attended childbirth classes. Classes foc
	us on\nboth the physical and emotional aspects of labor and delivery\, with
	\nemphasis on breathing and relaxation techniques. The instructor will\ndis
	cuss: the natural progression of labor and delivery\; coping\nstrategies fo
	r labor\, including medication and anesthesia options\; the\nrole of suppor
	t person\; and the possibility of cesarean birth. A tour of\nthe Maternity 
	Unit will be provided. \n\nClass size is limited so please register early. 
	Please bring (2) pillows\nwith you. When registering\, please use the mothe
	r's name only and date\nof birth. One (1) registry per couple. Best to take
	 this class in the\n7th month of pregnancy. Three week course. No children 
	permitted. Tour\nof maternity/labor/delivery included. (If taking course at
	 a hospital\nwhere you will not deliver\, you will need to sign up for a ho
	spital\ntour. No children permitted. Please bring (2) pillows with you to c
	lass.\nFeel free to bring a snack and beverage if you wish. Please arrive a
	 few\nminutes prior to the start of class.
