The surgeons at Bryn Mawr Hospital bring a high level of expertise to a complete scope of general surgery services, including surgical oncology, surgery of the biliary and gastrointestinal tract, breast surgery, vascular surgery, endocrine surgery, minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, access surgery for dialysis, surgery for hyperlipidemia, surgical endoscopy and pediatric surgery.
For some surgical or special procedures, you may be required to answer questions that will help us plan for your care. Visit the Bryn Mawr Hospital Preadmission Testing page for more information.
If you wish to use your own blood for upcoming surgery-related transfusions, the American Red Cross offers the option of autologous blood donations. The procedure is an option only for elective surgery. All donors must meet American Red Cross medical criteria. A physician’s written prescription is required for autologous donations. Ask your surgeon for more information, or call 1-800-35-BLOOD.
