Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Dr. Hoffer Welcomed to BMRH Medical Staff Malvern, Pa. - Barbara A. Hoffer, Doctor of Osteopathy and a physiatrist who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, recently joined the medical staff at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital. She is a member of the practice group Rehabilitation Associates of the Main Line. A resident of Birdsboro, Dr. Hoffer received her D.O. degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute/Center for Head Injury in Edison, N.J., where she was Chief Resident (Academic and Administrative). Prior to joining the BMRH medical staff, she was a staff physiatrist at Health South Reading Rehabilitation Hospital, where she was Medical Staff President, Program Director of Wound Care and Oncology Rehab, and Coordinator of the Amputee Clinic. Dr. Hoffer, who is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Osteopathic Association, brings 14 years of experience in general rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury, cardiac and cancer rehabilitation, day treatment, prosthetics and orthotics, pain management and rehabilitation for work-related injuries. Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital is a pioneer and leader in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Located in Malvern, the hospital offers a unique environment for recovery of individuals with brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and other physical and cognitive disabilities. With 148 beds and an extensive Outpatient Network, the hospital is the largest and most comprehensive rehabilitation services organization in the region.
