Welcome
to the Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital Web site
As the American population ages, rehab hospitals like ours treat more patients with challenging disabilities. Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital has an enviable reputation for achieving impressive results with our patients.
With individualized treatment programs developed by physicians and staff with extensive experience in the treatment of catastrophic injuries and illnesses, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital provides the best rehabilitation that medicine has to offer. We have access to the latest medications and technologies available. As a result, our patient outcomes have consistently been among the highest in the country.
In survey after survey, our patients indicate they would recommend Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital to someone else—the highest compliment any healthcare organization can receive.
We remain committed to meeting the challenges of the future. Over the past five years, the hospital has experienced a 50 percent increase in the number of patients admitted following brain injury, spurring us to undertake a major expansion and renovation of our Brain Injury Unit. We also see more than 400 stroke patients a year on an inpatient basis, and are prepared to see more as the population ages. Similar growth is occurring in the treatment of spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma and other orthopedic and neurological conditions.
Of course, we could not hope to meet these challenges without the dedication of dozens of volunteers who provided more than 15,000 hours of service each year, and the financial support of so many benefactors.
Thanks to your support, we continue to take advantage of the latest protocols, purchase state-of-the-art equipment to remain on the cutting edge in treating our patients, and serve our community through education, research and prevention of disability. Thanks to your support, families who often feel hopeless and do not know where to turn can turn with confidence to Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.
Throughout this Web site, you will read about how patients heal and reach a level of independence they and their families never thought possible. Those of us who work here are motivated each day by these stories, and many others, that make our work so worthwhile. Thanks for helping make a real difference in so many lives. We are deeply grateful for your support.
Sincerely,
