Since July 1997, Bryn Mawr Hospital and The Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children have collaborated to provide accessible healthcare for children, close to home. Handling more than 8,000 emergency room visits and more than 1,500 inpatient hospitalizations each year, our experienced medical team is prepared for any difficulty your child may encounter. The Bryn Mawr Hospital/duPont Children's Health Program provides a full spectrum of care in appropriate settings, including:
Our dedicated medical and surgical staff includes general pediatricians as well as more than 30 pediatric specialists in such areas as neonatology, cardiology, gastroenterology, surgery and otolaryngology. From newborns to teens, our talented healthcare team possesses the knowledge and hands-on training to care for the most common to the most complicated medical conditions. One child arrives by ambulance while experiencing difficulty breathing. Another comes for treatment for a sore throat and high fever. Yet another youngster needs emergency surgery to remove her appendix. All three find superb care at the Bryn Mawr Hospital/duPont Children's Health Program.
