As part of the Main Line Health Heart Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital offers one of the largest cardiovascular treatment and surgical programs in the region. Our highly skilled, board-certified surgeons and an excellent team of professionals provide surgical services for our patients. All conventional surgical procedures such as valve replacement, coronary bypass, repair of aortic aneurysms and carotid endartectomy are offered at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Innovative techniques such as laser angioplasty and lead removal also are available.

Our surgeons are also experienced with recent developments in surgical treatments such as transmyocardial revascularization performed with coronary bypass grafting, native valve preservation, valvular transplantation, minimally invasive heart surgery, and the Maze procedure for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Bryn Mawr Hospital maintains telemetry units and cardiac intensive care units which are staffed with specially selected and educated professional nurses who devote their time exclusively to the direct care of cardiac patients needing continual critical assessment.
