The Main Line Health Heart Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital is dedicated to reducing the impact of heart disease and improving quality of life through comprehensive diagnosis, treatment
and rehabilitation. As part of the Main Line Health Heart Center, we are nationally recognized for providing innovative, quality, patient-oriented heart care and leading-edge cardiovascular
research and medical education. We are also committed to helping people identify and lower their risk of heart disease through
our community outreach programs designed to promote heart-healthy lifestyles to residents throughout the Phladelphia suburbs.
Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Bryn Mawr Hospital's non-invasive cardiac diagnosis department performed approximately 10,000 cases in 2003. Our state-of-the-art
testing includes pharmacologic and dobutamine stress testing and nuclear cardiac imaging.
Interventional Cardiovascular Services 24/7 The Catheterization Laboratory at Bryn Mawr Hospital conducted 1,620 diagnostic and interventional coronary cases in 2003.
Specialties include aqueous oxygen therapy following heart attack, brachytherapy.
Electrophysiology Bryn Mawr Hospital's board-certified electrophysiologists perform many diagnostic studies and procedures in the Heart Center's
state-of-the-art Electrophysiology Labs located on the defibrillators are performed at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Peripheral Vascular Disease Cardiovascular and neurovascular specialists provide diagnosis and treatment of narrowing or blockage of blood vessels leading
to and from the kidneys, abdomen, and legs.
Open Heart Surgery The cardiothoracic surgeons at Bryn Mawr Hospital have been performing open heart surgery since 1985. Our experienced team
performed 188 surgeries in 2003. Specialties include off-pump bypass surgery, heart valve repair and replacement, complex
procedures.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Bryn Mawr Hospital's accredited, nationally recognized Cardiac Rehabilitation is a customized program of exercise, nutrition,
education and support groups designed to help heart patients become independent, self-assured, symptom-free, and able to resume
