For patients with newly diagnosed or recurrent brain tumors, Lankenau Hospital's Neurologic Oncology Program offers several treatment options aimed at improving quality of life. Surgery and radiation are the standard of care and the newest advances are reducing treatment time to just one week. Lankenau was one of the first hospitals in the Philadelphia area to offer the GliaSite® procedure, an internal radiation technique that offers maximum radiation treatment with minimum damage to surrounding tissues.
