At Bryn Mawr Hospital we've been improving the lives of women and their families for more that a century. We offer a complete range of health services complemented by education and research activities to meet community needs. Our Comprehensive Breast Center expands upon that mission, providing the most up-to-date technology and access to nationally recognized experts in breast care.
The Comprehensive Breast Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital provides a supportive, comforting environment where each woman receives personalized attention and care. We recognize that breast health is multifaceted. To help women throughout this process, we offer a wide array of services, such as prevention and risk assessment, screening and detection, education, diagnostic procedures and treatment consultation in one convenient location.
Distinctive to our Center is the availability and guidance of our breast care coordinator, a qualified and experienced breast health nurse. Our breast care coordinator serves as a resource for patients and their families, helping to answer questions, access specialists and coordinate additional services. She provides support and education and helps women make informed decisions about their breast health.
Our medical staff includes dedicated breast radiologists and pathologists, surgical oncologists and plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Patients may also consult with specialists in medical and radiation oncology, if necessary. All physicians associated with the Comprehensive Breast Center are specialists in breast health. Most are involved in research and treatment initiatives to advance the care of women with breast disease.
